Muzoma now support native export to Cymatic’s LP16 player and uTool2 application

Great news, from version 2.2.2, Muzoma supports export to Cymatic’s LP16 player and their uTool2 application.

If you prefer to use your LP16 for standalone playback with only a hard disk or memory stick, or you want to play back your sets from a Mac or PC using uTool2, then this feature is ideal.

1.) Simply download or create songs in Muzoma as usual
2.) Organise the songs with the desired multi-channel tracks and pans.
3.) Add the songs to a Muzoma set or sets.
4.) Use the new export to Cymatic LP16 tool on the sets page to export your sets as Cymatic LP16 format.
5.) Use the iOS 11 files app to copy or move the Cymatic folder from the Muzoma folder ‘on my iPad/iPod/iPhone’ to iCloud/a compatible USB stick/WD NAS
6.) Playback the set/s directly from the disk/USB stick on your LP16
7.) Load the set/s into UTool2 and play back with the mixer on a PC or Mac

Muzoma now supports iOS 11 file integration

Great news, from version 2.0.6, Muzoma supports Apple’s iOS 11 files app.

This allows the long requested back-up and restore feature, or custom gig setups where individual songs or sets can be copied or removed at will by accessing the Muzoma folder on the iDevice.

If you couple this functionality with your preferred cloud service, or Western Digital’s recent update for their NAS drives – My Cloud, it makes for a powerful and easy file management and backup combination.

Users can even substitute in different version of audio files should they wish.

Note Muzoma cannot support manual editing of the muz xml file, this file is reserved for use by the app only, so we ask users not to edit it, but the other files i.e. audio and image may be edited at will, so long as the file name remains the same.

Downloading from Karaoke Version

We’ve had some feedback from some users asking for some step-by-step instructions on how to download their Karaoke Version content using Muzoma.

So we put some brief instructions to help.

The process is slightly different from downloading a custom file from the KV web site.

Firstly, you need to log-on to the KV site inside Muzoma’s ‘Online Content’ link and then go to your purchased files list.

Once logged in to KV, you should see your purchased file list, it should look like this:

Now, DONT press the download link on the right hand side, simply press the link on the left side where the green circle is on that image above, as if you are going in to re-mix the track.

After the page of the song loads, after a few seconds, the app will prompt to download the song, and offer’s the change to change the pitch in semi-tones, just leave this step blank for the original pitch.

Muzoma then goes through a download process storing each file of the custom backing track, or the single file for a non-custom backing track.  Note – this is completely separate from any mix of the song you’ve made on the Karaoke Version website.

Once all the tracks are downloaded, you can then remix the song via the mixer page in Muzoma.

There is a default track of the guide enabled by default, but you can use the mixer to enable and disable individual or all tracks to adjust the individual levels if you wish.

This is your mix in Muzoma – it’s completely separate to the KV website mixer.

You can access the mixer from the menu on the player page.

If a channel is grey in the mixer, then it can be enabled with a double tap on the fader and selecting enable track, by default the guide track is enabled when no multi-track hardware is attached to the device.

Note, there is more information in the user manual and a little video on YouTube which also walks through KV download process.

    • We added MIDI control support, you can control Muzoma using MIDI for remote Start, Stop, and track selecting in sets. You can automate the mixer with MIDI commands too, just double tap a mixer fader to set it up. Muzoma can also send MIDI control commands.
    • Muzoma now supports the AudioShare app for getting your audio in and out of the app. Both Muzoma and AudioShare support .zip files so that files can be shared enMass. We also support the standard clipboard.
    • Muzoma now supports importing .wav files
    • Muzoma is a proud affiliate of Karaoke-Version.com.  In 2.0, we added unofficial in app support for downloading your existing Karaoke-Version songs, including support for importing multi-track Custom Backing Tracks in Muzoma.  NOTE that this is unofficial support, we have not officially partnered with Karaoke-Version.com in this development.
